Three-bedroom tyndal cottage has high ceilings and ornate timberwork and has two queen and one twin/king bedroom. Originally a prospector's dwelling, tramway cottage has one, queen-size bedroom and ensuite with corner spa. The federation-style tyndall and dundas cottages are co-joined with separate entrances. Tasmanian wine is available for purchase inside the cottages. Continental breakfast provisions are supplied and there is an outdoor barbecue area. All have fully-equipped kitchens, television, shared laundry facilities, gas open fires, dvd and CD players and telephones. Strahan is a four-and-a-half hour drive from hobart (298 kilometres) and launceston (290 kilometres).the turn-of-the-century cottages have been renovated in contemporary style. You can cruise or kayak the gordon river, take a seaplane flight or ride the west coast wilderness railway through mountains and rainforest.
